CoderDojo is a global collaboration providing free and open learning to young people, especially in programming technology. KCWiT was excited to launch the first CoderDojo in Kansas City over five years ago and we are still going strong! We are always welcoming new mentors to our enthusiastic team, so feel free to sign on up.

Mentors don’t need any programming knowledge, just common sense, a love of technology and a passion for helping others grow. But if you DO speak code, we’re looking for experts in all languages- Scratch, HTML & CSS, python, ruby, javascript, raspberry pi, and beyond! Sign up to be a mentor here.

Kids ages 7-17 of any skill level are invited to attend. We have programs for beginners as well as the Intermediate/Advanced. Kids under 13 must have a parent present for the session. Projects and curriculum will be based on attendees needs/interested, from guided learning to robotics to helping a cool idea come to life.
