Learning Theme
Visual Programming with Scratch
Objective
Students will get familiar with block programming by using the online Scratch tool.
Power Up
Mentors will bring in or show a project they have worked on personal or work related that would engage and motivate the girls.
Lesson/Activity and Challenge
Leaders give a brief introduction to Scratch emphasizing the Scratch mantra: “Imagine, create, play, share, then repeat.” Group breaks off into separate workstations independently with laptops or in labs.
