Coding & Cocktails: The Garnish | Introduction to CSS

Join us for our monthly coding series, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
Once we build out the structure of our website we want to make it look visually appealing. CSS helps us put the “pretty” in our web pages — the same way a mint leaf or paper umbrella spruces up our favorite drinks. Join us to learn about different selector types, how to apply styles to your page and why all of this matters! You’ll also get to try styling a web page with CSS yourself (with support from our awesome mentors of course)!
There will be lots of guidance and support for those with little to no coding experience so come join the fun!
- No coding experience necessary (we mean that!)
- Wifi-enabled laptop is required
- Trans and non-binary inclusive
- Must be at least 21 to attend
- Please familiarize yourself with Kansas City Women in Technology’s Code of Conduct.
