August TechTalk – Assessing Your Value

Whether moving into a new job or negotiating the terms of your existing job, it is necessary that you assess your value to get the most out of your negotiations. This TechTalk will help you calculate your worth within your company and your industry so that you can determine the boundaries of your asks. The presentation and breakout session will have three focuses:

1. Identifying Your Value
   How to evaluate how you compete within your organization and industry landscape
2. How to Increase Your Value
   Increasing your value through additional education, training and leadership positions.
3. How To Negotiate What You Want
   How to present your value and back up your asks to get what you want.

Come with your questions and ready for conversation! After a brief presentation, there will be breakouts into small group with industry experts to answer your questions and help you practice negotiation skills. At least one breakout group will be dedicated to freelancers and small business owners.
