KCWiT

UI/UX Designer

Posted 2 months ago

KCWiT has a short-term and part time volunteer opportunity for a UI/UX designer. We are looking for a talented person or team of people to help us execute a new vision for our organizational websites. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to collaborate with the business analyst and product owners for the project to visualize the requirements, using KCWiT branding guidelines to build wireframes that our volunteer developers can build from.

You may love this opportunity if you are:

  • A problem solver: You proactively seek out business and design challenges to maximize form, function, and maintainability.
  • An interpreter of human behavior: You understand how users interact with a well-designed site and can intuit what solutions will take them to the answer or activity they are seeking.
  • A team player: You collaborate with other team members to solve problems. In this role, you will collaborate with product owners to design and prototype features of our core websites.

Preferred experience: We do ask that you be prepared to show off examples of previous UI projects to show us. We prefer you to have access to Balsamiq and experience with it but we can be flexible.

The time commitment is several hours per month for a couple of months, and then remaining time as available for consultation as we move into the build phase of the website.

Contact tamara.copple@kcwomenintech.org if you wish to apply.
