That’s why finding a culture fit is so important. \nIn this month’s TechTalk\, we’ll help you find the right culture fit for you\, and talk about what questions you should be asking in your interview and what you should be looking for when you assess the culture of a new company. \nThis event is hosted by VML\, an award winning marketing firm based in Kansas City\, and will feature a panel of women dicusssing finding a culture fit\, and how VML has created their extrodinary culture. Come meet our Awesome Panel! \n \nAs Chief Marketing Officer\, Beth is responsible for facilitating the growth of the VML brand and marketing strategy across the VML global network. Beth has been with VML for more than thirteen years in a variety roles including client services and organizational development. She’s a proud KC native! \n \nLyndsey Padget is a Technical Architect with over a decade of software development experience at both mega-corporations and startups.  In addition to slinging code and managing development teams\, she regularly presents on RESTful APIs\, agile methodologies\, and how to engage young women in technology. \n \nRebecca is a Software Release Manager and Agile Coach\, and has worked in Healthcare IT Consulting and Development at Cerner\, Perceptive Software\, and currently\, at FormFast. \n \n  \nSarah Harper is a Technical Project Manager in the Program Management Office at Cerner Corporation. Her projects have included Automated Testing\, Mobile Development\, and Interoperability. \n \nAlisa is a chemist turned software engineer\, and has navigated the waters of different corporate cultures from manufacturing\, laboratory science\, and enterprise software development. She is now at a small freight logistics company with dreams of growing their software product into a full-fledged enterprise application.

This TechTalk will help you calculate your worth within your company and your industry so that you can determine the boundaries of your asks. The presentation and breakout session will have three focuses: \n\nIdentifying Your Value\nHow to evaluate how you compete within your organization and industry landscape\nHow to Increase Your Value\nIncreasing your value through additional education\, training and leadership positions.\nHow To Negotiate What You Want\nHow to present your value and back up your asks to get what you want.\n\nCome with your questions and ready for conversation! After a brief presentation\, there will be breakouts into small group with industry experts to answer your questions and help you practice negotiation skills. At least one breakout group will be dedicated to freelancers and small business owners.
