DESCRIPTION:Johnson County Community College’s 2014 Girls in STEM conference’s theme is ‘STEM: It’s a Girl Thing!’\, and is filled with sessions to explore each of the 4 fields – Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Math. 10 school districts in the Johnson County area were invited to attend\, with close to 300 girls. Kansas City Women in Technology is running the Technology session – “Scratch That!”\, which introduces girls to programming through a special project on Scratch. Check it out!
