DESCRIPTION:Session Topic: Server-side APIs: Node.js\, REST & SOAP \nJoin us for our monthly coding series\, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building in a fun\, laid-back atmosphere. \nThis month\, we’ll talk about using JavaScript on the server-side\, or back-end. We’ll compare to front-end JavaScript and talk about API protocols and how to interact with them. We will practice using server-side APIs with support from our awesome mentors! \nThere will be lots of guidance and support for those with no coding experience so come join the fun!  \n\nNo coding experience necessary (we mean that!)\nWifi-enabled laptop is required (don’t have one? Borrow one of ours)\nMust be at least 21 to attend\nCocktails\, non-alcoholic beverages\, and dinner served\nPlease familiarize yourself with Kansas City Women in Technology’s Code of Conduct. \n\nDo you need financial assistance to attend? View codingandcocktails.kcwomenintech.org/financialaid for more information. \nIf you are unable to attend\, you must cancel 48 hours prior to the event to receive a refund!
