Central Library, 2nd Floor, 14 W. 10th St.

Digital Learning Day at the Kansas City Public Library encourages youth, parents, and educators to experience hands-on digital learning through a wide-array of interactive opportunities.

Women in Technology will host a CoderDojo – just bring a laptop and join in to learn the basics of coding from experts in the field. The Microsoft Store will offer tools and tips for Kodu, Microsoft’s free coding software platform. Youth librarians will work with patrons to create their own one picture digital story. Science City will offer on-site interactive learning with Little Bits and Arduino beginners’ kits. There’ll be an opportunity for geocaching with Garmin and learning more about the work of organizations like Connecting for Good and PlanIT Impact.

Digital Learning Day will be hosted in conjunction with the library’s Gigabit City 2.0event
RSVP appreciated (andreaellis@kclibrary.org), but not required
