Coding & Cocktails: The Bar | Open Source

Join us for our monthly coding series, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.

What is Open Source? How do you find projects to work on? We’ll answer these questions and more, along with a working session for you to get a jump start on contributing to a project of your choice.

Open source contributing can be intimidating, but it’s way easier to jump in with someone to guide you. Whether it’s your first PR or you’ve done open source contributions for years, we’ll be here to answer your questions.

There will be lots of guidance and support for those with little to no coding experience, so come join the fun!

• No coding experience necessary (we mean that!)
• Wifi-enabled laptop is required
• Trans and non-binary inclusive
• Must be at least 21 to attend
• Please familiarize yourself with Kansas City Women in Technology’s Code of Conduct.
